Charity Founder, Speaker and Author Visits

We were fortunate to have charity founder, speaker and author Simon Guillebaud, MBE, come and speak to the Year 11 IGCSE Economics students. Simon and his family have worked and lived in Burundi, one of the poorest and most dangerous countries in the world, for the past 19 years. He shared with the students real stories of what poverty looks like and the positive effect his charity GLO has had on over 75,000 people in Burundi. Linking real life examples to the syllabus is always beneficial for the students. Simon ended the presentation reminding students that with great privilege comes great responsibility.
