King's Assembly 2017

The whole school gathered in the Sports Hall to pay tribute to the life and legacy of the late King Bhumibhol Adulyadej, Rama IX, of Thailand. Presented by a Primary and a Secondary student, the assembly saw performances from the Orchestra, Year 2 and 3 dancers, a beautiful poem from Senior students and a moving performance from the College of Dramatic Arts.

Mr Mills spoke about the late king saying “His Majesty King Bhumibol was a great man who contributed time, effort and more than his fair share to Thailand, a country he deeply loved. He was more than a King – he was a divine Father figure to us all. This great man was Thailand’s light, life and guiding spirit for 70 years. Though he is not with us his legacy remains in our hearts. He leaves us his final teaching; nothing lives forever and we will keep learning.”
