Bangkok International Schools Junior Maths Challenge
Bangkok Patana played host to the second annual Bangkok International Schools Junior Maths Challenge (BISJMC). The competition features individual rounds, team challenges and an energiser round for students in Key Stage 3 from Bangkok Patana, Shrewsbury, Harrow and ISB.
What makes this event especially exciting is that all of the planning, question writing, marking, compering and communication with schools was done by our Year 12 students. Peerat (Poon) Vichivanives has led the team consisting of Philippe Ledoit, Narissa Birtwistle and Aaksh Ranjan. We entered four teams of three students - Natasha Leenabanchong, Jimmy Tran and David Kang; Odele Pang, Sonam Okuda and Ritvik Khurana; Puddy Boonkongchuen, Dol Manoleehakul and Mark Chan; Praewa Taylor, Tomi Bodwell Mamic and Pammy Leenabanchong.
"Well done to all the competitors who took part. A really well organised event run by students so an extra cheer for Poon for leading out on this event. Thanks also to Mr Mooring for his excellent guidance."
