As part of the recruitment process applicants must provide:

  • The name and contact details of three referees. One referee should be the applicant's current or most recent employer. In addition to the written references, referees may be contacted to obtain a verbal reference.
  • An up-to-date DBS Disclosure if from UK or police check.
  • Documentation from universities and colleges verifying attendance and successful completion of courses undertaken.

Bangkok Patana School set in beautiful purpose-built premises on the outskirts of Bangkok, offers the English National Curriculum, IGCSE/GCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma. The school has over 2300 students aged from 2½ to 18 years and representing more than 65 nationalities. Bangkok Patana School is accredited by CIS and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and is an approved International Baccalaureate School.

IS/IT Technician

To provide IT related technical support to ensure that the School’s software and hardware services function effectively at all times.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provides technical support related to computers and all associated computer peripherals within the allocated zone through installing, maintaining, updating software programs and service packs, setting up IT equipment, enabling network and wireless connectivity, configuring mail client and web browser, and troubleshooting.
  • Provides technical and coordination support related to Macintosh operating system to ensure compatibility with the School’s system and network.
  • Provides support for the one-to-one project through setting up students’ laptop computers, monitoring and troubleshooting related problems.
  • Provides service related to laptop trolleys including moving and storing trolleys, cloning laptop computers, installing new software programs, and troubleshooting any wireless problems.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’ s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Previous experience providing front-line user IT support.
  • Team oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Knowledge of servers, wireless networks, application management and/or software design is an advantage.
  • Thai National, fluent written and spoken English essential.
